This is a story whose main character was a man who decided to save his marriage….
For quite some time, I was addicted to talking to other women than my wife on the internet. I was absorbed in that dream-world on line and blinded by the sex in it. However, it had started in a much innocent way. I was “testing the waters” with an unknown woman to me whom I met on-line. Together we enjoyed long hours of conversation filled with fantasy. When I started looking for that particular woman every time I was online, when I started joining “adults” sites, and when I started chatting “dirty”, it hit me that perhaps I am addicted to Cyber. I enjoyed being part of the story and not just being an outsider reading a dirty magazine. I could not believe it then. I did not want to believe that I was “sick”.
One day, I found a print-out of some of those internet infidelity stories printed by my wife. I have been never sure if she intended me to read those stories, but they made me see where I stand. I took my decision: I stopped those chats.
I cannot lie and say that I do not miss those on-line relationships, for every one does. It was a hard decision to take, but it was the right one.
