There are various reasons that lead to infidelity. The major, most common factors behind infidelity are:

- Cyber affairs are getting more common every day, for the internet is the best means to anonymity and convenience and provides an escape from everyday stresses.
- With the increase of premarital sex, people are getting more comfortable about committing infidelities.
- A child-centered marriage is more likely to commit infidelity as a way of getting connection and enjoyment which s/he misses at home.
Although these are not excuses to have an affair, understanding those reasons help us prevent infidelity.
