If you have been involved in an extra-marital relationship and you feel that it is time to save your marriage, then the first step you should take is to admit that your relationship is wrong. This recognition is your way towards marriage survival.

If you really want to restore your marriage, then you have to do more than just minimizing the pain or trying partial separation. To put it more clearly, you HAVE to sever all kinds of contact with your extramarital partner FOREVER.

This might prove tricky and very difficult if such an infidelity partner is a coworker. However, you are the one who can judge the depth of your past relationship and the extent of the radical changes needed. Some people who are keen on saving their marriages quit their jobs or move to other branches.

In most infidelity cases, the betrayed spouse demands information regarding the affair and all that was involved in it: emotions, nature, frequency, etc. This is a normal reaction following any case of cheating. Distrust is an equivalent of lack of love and to gain your spouse’s love back, you have to gain his/ her trust. It is simply part of the recovery process.

During cases of infidelity, the involved spouse keeps his/ her affairs private and intimacies begin to be shared with the extramarital partner in stead of the spouse. Thus, to save your marriage, you have to go back to sharing those intimacies with your spouse. You simply have to redefine the boundaries of your marriage.
